I have found a very good article about “how we fall in love” from scientific point of view. You know, if we completely understand that what happens when we fall in love and why it is pleasant to us, and how we feel glorious and why that occurs, we will, then, protect our mutual life and love and prevent it form breaking and cold moodiness of ourselves or our spouse! I have experienced this and I know when your love or spouse does not like to be with you, to like you even not love, what feelings fills you up, and what burns your soul and heart! But when you know what is that happens in your body and mind, then you can control LOVE and its OCCURRANC always in your mutual life, having both the pleasant and passionate needed in living happily! The article is in Persian, and I preferred not to translate it into English, so it is better to read in native language. The discovery that 1,4-dihydropyridine class of calcium channel antagonists inhibit Ca2+ influx represented a major therapeutic advance in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. In contrast to the effects of known calcium channel blockers of the Nifedipine-type, the so-called calcium channel agonists, such as Bay K8644 and CGP 28392, increase calcium influx by binding at the same receptor regions. Our goal was to discover a dual cardioselective Ca2+-channel agonist/vascular selective smooth muscle Ca2+ channel antagonist third-generation 1,4-dihydropyridine drug which would have a suitable therapeutic profile for treating congestive heart failure (CHF) patients. A series of unsymmetrical alkyl, cycloalkyl and aryl ester analogues of 2-methyl-4-(1-methyl)-5-nitro-2-imidazolyl-5-oxo-1,4,5,6,7, 8-hexahydroquinolin-3-arboxylate were synthesized using modified Hantzsch reaction. All compounds show calcium antagonist activity on guinea-pig ileum longitudinal smooth muscle and some of them show agonist effect activity on guinea-pig auricle. Effect of structural parameters on the Ca2+ channel agonist/antagonist was evaluated by quantitative structure-activity relationship analysis. These compounds could be considered as a synthon for developing a suitable drug for treating CHF patients.

Teaching English language by watching movies
Some methods and some problems encountered in the classes
Abstract
Using the authentic materials in teaching English language is one of the fundamental principles nowadays, especially for task based methods and communication based ones. Among authentic materials, the movies and music play a great role in which the real functions of the language are presented.
Some methods that I, myself, have used for more than 4 years in English classes for every level of proficiency, I will present in detail in the following part, and with the investments of their applying in the level of students` language proficiency.
Using movies and music in the classes has a lot of benefits which I will explain in details in the last part of this paper. But it has, of course, some disadvantages that may obstacle its usage due to some fundamental contrasts between our culture and the western cultural settings, which some times are totally unacceptable in ours.
In this paper, I will discuss some problems and then some solution I will suggest.
Introduction
Movies and music are the most authentic sources for language teachers in foreign language classes which the exposure to the native language plays a very crucial role both in speed of language learning and in the learning of native-like language, especially for people who are not exposed to native ones in vast scale and most the time the only source of their accurate source of language are language teachers.
I have been teaching in Zanjan`s institutes for more than 4 years during which I have used movies to teach the students of different levels and with almost different methods based on their levels and their age. The first significant advantage of using movies in the language classes is encouragement of students and evoking of motivation in them which almost always has happened without any especial attempt.
I am presenting here GLADIATOR, FOREST GUMP, SLEEP OVER, CINDERELLA, and ANASTASIA as some samples for investigating of the methods applied for different levels. Then I will give some statistics about the amount of satisfaction evoked in the classes and the amount of the improvement occurred in the level of students` proficiency.
Students who I applied the method on them were in the level of elementary and pre-intermediate level, who were my students for elementary level up to intermediate, for more than 6 frequent terms. The terms lasted for a month and a half, with 16 sessions for every term. The number of students in the class was between 8 – 12 and they were girls aged between 18 -27. Some of them were high school students, some were university students, and some were housewives and clerks.
The other class which I used the method were boys, aged between 19-28, some were high school students, some university students, and some clerks, in the level of intermediate for two terms.
And the last class was for children, boys, aged between 9-14 years old.
I will discuss the method I used, depending on some factors which I will mention in the following part.
In the class of girls, in the pre-intermediate level, I introduced the movie, Gladiator, and I asked the students to work on 10-minut segments frequently, one by one at the beginning of the term. They had almost 4 weeks to complete the task. They had to play the movie, listen to it and then write the tape script of that 10-minute segment on a piece of a paper, at the due time handle it to me, and then I tested them in the way that I played the move and paused it, asking them to repeat the exact words or some times if difficult, the words close to original ones, somehow paraphrasing. Those expressions and idioms the characters of the movie used, also, were the subjects of the my questions, I asked them their meanings in Persian and some times about the clever intelligent students I asked to give an example of its usage in the language. This was the most common method I used to test students listening and their abilities to understand the authentic material and language function.
1. Why movies?
In the methodology of teaching a foreign language the amount of exposure to native people and authentic materials are crucial in learning the language both in the possible shortest time and in the possible greatest quality. In countries like Iran, because of its especial characteristics such as political, cultural and even economical this exposure is low and a few people have the chance of meeting native people to follow their accents and the ways they use the language, etc. the only
material remained is movies and films.
Through movies, students and teachers will have native or native-like accents of the language, standard or sub-standard language, much slang, and every day expressions, colloquial and so many other idioms used by native people, with the correct accents and pronunciations and patterns of intonation and stress.
Through movies the culture of the foreign language, that is essential in learning of a language and plays a vital role in making backgrounds for students, is much more accessible and perceivable. Even via movies, the students courage and motivation will be grow up and they feel much more satisfied when they feel that after some time of learning the language they are able to understand a movie.
Through movies, the different functions of the language can be taught indirectly, the formality or informality of the utterances, for example. The students try hard to approach themselves as much as possible to the characters they like in the ways of their speaking or talking, their accent and of course their thoughts and behaviors.
2. How to choose a suitable movie
Due to some constraints teachers of a foreign language encountering in Iran, there must be some restrictions in the selection of the kinds of movies are to be sued in the class. The teacher must pay attention to both students’ interests depending on their age and their wanting, and to the cultural and political restrictions existing in the society, some norms and some limitations. Of course the chosen movie must follow the syllabus of the curriculum of the institute, and the needs students have and their level of proficiency in order to having more and more efficiency. Accessing to up-to-date movies, action ones, standard language usage, the level of its difficulty for students especially its vocabulary and the speed of pronunciation, its suitability for the age of students and suitability with the cultural settings of our country are some important factors which must be kept into consideration.
3. Problems encountered by using movies
The cultural political back ground of the movies, especially American and English movies, are most the time against our country`s, and they attempt to maintain their interests and illegal rights. This is the most crucial restriction in choosing a good movie for a class. Some movies try to penetrate into audiences` minds and change their ideologies and thoughts, mostly against the causes of our Great Islamic Republic Revolution`s. these kinds of movies must completely restricted and banned.
The other important limiting factor is the interests of students, especially young children, mostly boys! I have had some classes in the range of 8-14 years old with boys, who because of the cultural effects of our society and lack of education were thirsty of love affairs and sexual relations that most the western movies have! This interest despite of the positive motivation for them to attend in the classes has some bad and unsuitable effects on the students. They learn some slang vocabulary and some swear words, for example. Unfortunately, this kind of restriction can not be applied in the classes, because these young children are masters of internet all of them can easily access to some forbidden and filtered sites and can download whatever they want, without any awareness of their parents.
4. Solutions suggested
The teacher must consider the above factors in choosing of a movie for an especial class. As much as possible, the move must be neutral and not be politically discriminative. It must be action enough, having enough especial effects to catch the attention, it must be lovely enough, not excessively, to motivate children to attend in the class and continue the learning process. For each class a different move must be used based on the needs and interests of students. For this reason, the teacher can ask their tastes and interests about the movies, and then select a suitable one for them. For this I suggest the following movies:
-Anastasia, a cartoon, without any film script at the bottom of the screen, for elementary adults and children
-Gladiator, an action movie, without any film script at the bottom of the screen, for pre-intermediate and intermediate adults
-Forest Gump, an action, drama movie, without any film script at the bottom of the screen, for pre-intermediate and intermediate adults
-Sleep Over, a love movie, with film script at the bottom, suitable for girls and adult girls in elementary and pre-intermediate
-Cinderella, a love movie, with the translation of the film script at the bottom, suitable for elementary and pre-intermediate adults
-Scary movie3, a comedy movie, with the film script at the bottom of the screen, suitable for elementary and pre-intermediate students, and children.
As I mentioned before, these movies because of their nature, have dances, music, songs and plays that are some how inacceptable our culture, but they can be ignored for their suitability to apply in an educational context, but the teacher can forward or by some media facilities cut those parts down and then give it to the students as an assignment.

I have been so busy since last week because of that I could not write here. I was translating some projects and I was also writing an article for the University of Gilan in teaching methodology and learning strategies in foreign and second language settings. I may put the paper here for my good friends and you may like to read and study it. It is some kind of innovation that I myself have established since 4 years ago, all my students who know me now can understand what I am speaking about, MOVIES!
Two days ago, Sabrina, one of my nice students form Bandar Lengeh was on line and we chatted with each other, which I enjoyed a lot. She is a very active and very kind and at the same time very reasonable girl that is a chemist, a scientist and has a pharmacy in Lengeh for herself. She is too humble and so friendly that when she is speaking with you, you can not guess who she is and what her job is! She is great, really great, I am not exaggerating and I am very proud that I know her and I got familiar with her. I hope we will beside each other in near future, as two good friends, and two scientists that like to work with each other. I invited her to come Zanjan to continue her studying and English of course, and she said she would think about it. Sabrina, if you come here, we, me and my nice friends, I am saying instead of them all, will be so happy and appreciated that no one can describe and imagine!
Farzad invited me to go to his office last night to smoke Hubble babble! I do not like smoking, but when friends gather and they use, I smoke very little just to accompany them! He was speaking about his life and affairs, he was entered university and he enrolled in Takesatn University in architecture. He talked about his love and the occasion he has been in. his mother asked the girl to see her family and she answered positively! I said “what`s wrong with you?! Ok! It is very good news, why not? Girls loves you, you love her, her mommy likes you, and your mother likes her1 you are so lucky!” but he said that he was worried, and wanted to test her love towards himself! He said “I want to test her after her entrance to university! I wanna see if she would be the same person or would change! She is too young, 19 years old, and I am afraid she might not like me, or changes her idea, when she meets other guy or guys in the university!” I said “take it easy, and trust in God! If she loves you and you love her, so control her and do not give her any chance to meet other choices!” he said that he could not do so! I said “ok, so keep calm and let the time pass, be patient and wait to see what is doomed and what will happen to you and her!” he is crazy! Isn`t he?!!!
Lisa gave me a sms and a massage. In the sms she said that she liked the book I gave her as her birthday present, and asked if I had already finished Paolo`s other books, I said yes, and suggested her some of the best ones, she gracefully thanked me! How much I love her! My God… then she sent me an off message to insure me that that call was not relevant for her any more! I was sure but worried! Thanks God!
And final news, which I have not told any body, especially my family, except Lisa! Two days ago, they called me form Bank to bring them some documents to test and to check my records, political, social and ethical to work in the Bank! I gave them and now I am waiting! Pray for me my friends! it may completely change my life and my future. I sent an off message to Lisa to inform her, because I must tell some body that and I asked her to pray! She is the one, the most precious and valuable person, the most respectable person I have ever met, I love her, that is the fact! And I will do what ever is needed for making my future life and hers better and better! I do not repeat my previous mistakes, this time I will go forward as stable as a rock to control my own life and hers, to manage a happier life for both of us and our small family! (You must think I got crazy! Mustn’t you?!!! I haven`t proposed her, nor does she accepts my proposal, nor even I am sure about her LOVE towards me! I wish I could some day tell her whatever is in my heart, however, she knows what is there even now, better than anybody else! What ever God wants that will happen and I trust in HIM.
